ArtifaxEvent v4.5.7 released

ArtifaxEvent v4.5.7 focuses on improving visibility, reducing scheduling friction, and speeding up everyday workflows. This release introduces clearer calendar signals, smarter defaults, and more efficient ways to work with rooms, resources, and schedules.

Clearer room availability with unavailable time slots

Before v4.5.7, events that users did not have permission to access could be completely hidden on the graphical calendar. As a result, rooms could appear available when they were not, leading to unexpected clashes during booking.

With this release, those hidden events now appear as clearly marked Unavailable time slots. While details remain protected, users can see when a room cannot be booked, giving them a complete and reliable view of availability.

This change significantly reduces accidental overlaps and makes scheduling more predictable, especially in shared or tightly managed spaces.

Faster event creation with default start times

Creating similar events often means repeatedly entering the same start times. v4.5.7 introduces Default Start Times for Activities, allowing organizations to predefine when certain activities usually begin.

When creating a new event, the start time is automatically filled in. Combined with existing default durations, this reduces repetitive data entry and speeds up event creation for common formats such as matinees, rehearsals, or recurring sessions.

Find rooms and resources faster with built-in search

As room and resource lists grow, scrolling through long trees can slow users down. In v4.5.7, search fields have been added directly to Room and Resource trees.

Users can now filter lists instantly by typing a keyword, making it easier to locate the right room or resource when assigning price codes, editing events, or making quick changes. This keeps workflows moving, even in complex environments.

New ways to group and understand schedules by room

This release introduces room-based grouping for Arrangement Resource Bookings and Schedules.

When enabled, resource bookings can be grouped by room, showing how resources are distributed across spaces. Schedules can also be viewed room by room, creating a clear, space-specific view of everything happening in each location.

These views help teams understand usage patterns, spot pressure points, and manage activity within individual rooms more effectively.

Small refinements that improve daily work

ArtifaxEvent v4.5.7 also includes a range of smaller enhancements designed to improve consistency and reduce friction. These include clearer search behavior for invoices and credit notes, improved data returned from lookup lists, continued rollout of pinned Save buttons, and refinements to the Quick Event Editor layout.

Individually subtle, these updates contribute to a smoother, more predictable experience across the system.
