The performing arts have formed the backbone to Tim's life and career. He started learning the violin at the age of 4 and viola from 12 which became his specialist instrument at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama (Junior department). He graduated from the Birmingham Conservatoire in 1997 with a BMus (Honours) degree. It was whilst studying in Birmingham that Tim developed a particular interest in the operation of performing arts venues, working front of house at the prestigious Symphony Hall. On moving to London, he took up a similar role at the Barbican Centre. Prior to joining Artifax, Tim worked for seven years at the Epsom Playhouse as Front of House and Marketing Manager. His interest in web design and IT solutions led to the development of the venue's first electronic marketing strategy.

Tim joined Artifax in January 2008 as a Support and Training Consultant, quickly progressing to the roles of Customer Services Manager in 2009 and Head of Customer Services in 2013.  Throughout his time at Artifax, Tim has worked with new and existing customers across the UK, Europe, South America and Middle East regions to help them get the very best out of ArtifaxEvent. Following a period of being Head of Professional Services, Tim is now our Operations Director.
